In the second quarter of 2012, we formed a partnership with Little Bird, a non-profit organization that provides free services for migrant workers across China including labor dispute mediation and legal counsel. We're the first private company in China to implement this worker engagement program. Our pilot scheme, aimed at the extended upstream product supply chain, was rolled-out in June 2012.
As part of our energy efficiency program we recently opened a new low carbon, energy efficient facility in Shenzhen. We also implemented a policy to source and use recycled materials, approved by the Forest Stewardship Council, for all corporate brochures and documents wherever possible.
In May 2012, we joined two very important global initiatives, the United Nations Global Compact and the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Inc. (EICC). We're actively involved in the programs that are successfully improving social, economic, and environmental conditions around the world.
Our staff regularly participate in fundraising activities to support local and national charities. Recent events include marathons in Hong Kong and Cork fundraising for UNICEF and St. Luke's Home respectively.
In recognition of the need to conserve the world's declining shark population, we've supported the WWF's No Shark Fin Initiative by introducing a company-wide policy prohibiting the consumption of any shark fin products at company events or venues.
